DOT Physical Exam
In order to operate a commercial vehicle, you will be required to pass a DOT physical examination. These exams ensure there are no health issues that could interfere with your ability to do your job safely. If you’re new to the commercial driving industry, you may have never received a DOT exam before. Here’s what you can expect at your appointment:
- Vision & Hearing Tests – In order to operate a vehicle and do the daily tasks your job requires, you will have to pass a vision and hearing test.
- Blood Test – We will check for high blood pressure and other blood-related medical conditions.
- Urinalysis – This component is part of the essential drug and alcohol testing you must pass.
